Capitol of Davao Oriental

Davao Oriental Capitol

This is the Capitol Building of Davao Oriental Province, located in Mati City.  At the time I took this photo, a dome was being constructed on the Capitol, it is completed now.

On Farm

On Farm

This beautiful place is called “On Farm” and is in the hinterlands of Davao City, in the Marilog District.  It is primarily a banana plantation, and is owned by a friend of mine.  What a beautiful place!  Cool, fresh and unpolluted air, beautiful scenery… how could you ask for more?

Truckload

Monkayo Truck

This truck is carrying a huge load, don’t you think?  I saw this truck crossing over a bridge that was still under construction in the Compostela Valley, near Monkayo.

Rice Field

Rice Field

This rice field is in Davao del Norte, about halfway between Panabo and Tagum City.  How about that tree?  Oh, that’s not a tree at all, it’s bamboo!  Did you know that Bamboo is actually a type of grass?  It is the tallest variety of grass known to man!

Little Boracay

Little Boracay

Little Boracay is the name of this beach in Santa Maria, Davao del Sur.  It’s kind of been a favorite spot for me and my family, we have visited Santa Maria fairly often over the years.  Usually, when we visit here, the beach is empty, save for a few local fishermen or local kids.  It’s like heaven.

Kahalaan Girls

Kahalaan Girls

These girls are taking place in the 2008 edition of the Kahalaan Festival in Davao City!  The Kahalaan Festival takes place at the Riverside Community in Tribu Mindanaw.

Skylab

Skylab

No, I’m not talking Apollo or Soyuz, I’m talking about a motorcycle carrying a bunch of people!  This kind of setup like you see in the picture is called a Skylab, due to it’s layout.  This particular unit is in Compostela Valley, in the Davao Region.

Need a bracelet?

Bracelet

Do you need a bracelet?  That’s what this Manobo native is hoping!  This lady is selling bracelets along the highway in the Marilog District of Davao City, not far from the border with Bukidnon.

View from Samal Island

Samal View

Samal Island is a special place to me.  I hope to live there someday.  My wife and I already own the land where we hope to build our house.  It just comes down to the right time, and the funds.  Can’t wait to make it happen.  Samal Island looks over Davao City, but it is in Davao del Norte Province.  Full of beautiful views!
